Farmers for Lake Country is a farmer-led group that assists with best-management practice education, in addition to facilitating conservation cost-sharing programs. The following are some of our key focus areas.

Group Initiatives:

​Field Demonstration Day:  Provides in-depth education for farmers on the selection and planting of cover crops, in addition to minimal or no-till practices, and other topics.

​​Soil Health – Best Management Practices: Provides a hands-on look at conservation techniques that maximize soil productivity, while reducing nutrient runoff.

Ag Resource Day: An annual education event for area farmers to learn about productivity enhancing conservation practices, in addition to cost-sharing opportunities, and more.
